"Only 1 day post upper/lower bleph surgery & I'm obviously well enough to post this. Care in the hospital couldn't be any better, staff very attentive and nothing too much trouble. Post op I'm a bit swollen & slightly bruised but no pain - I would highly recommend Gary Ross based on my experience."

"I underwent a very difficult procedure under Mr Ross on my ear in March this year, which involved reconstruction. On initially meeting Mr Ross I was very impressed by his skill, professionalism and expertise. He has unbelievable talent and with the assistance of the team he performed a brilliant operation. My confidence, outlook on life and quality of life have changed immensly since having the surgery. I would like to congratulate Mr Ross on his highly competent ability."

One day post op. Following a comfortable night’s rest I'm now Day One post operative (from having face and neck lift and upper and lower lid blepharoplasty). I'm expecting today to be grim but I wake to no pain ! During my ops the Staff Nurse asks me where I am on the 1 – 10 pain scale – I say 0, which even in my immediate post anaesthetic state seems a bit odd (but it’s true). There’s some stiffness in my neck and my vision is not as good as normal but that’s to be expected I'm quickly reassured. I'm delighted that I feel so calm and comfortable. I even have a bit of a chat with another patient, who is about to have a face lift, explaining how much better I feel than I had anticipated. I’m being discharged and I expected that I would have some anxieties about going home and being away from the attentive and expert care that is on hand at the Alex. The support, advice and reassurance that ‘they are just a call away’ have quelled those worries especially as I feel fine and I’m very happy to be back to my familiar home environment. I'm following all the advice I've been given about pain relief and resting and the remainder of the day goes well. Using the ice pack is bliss. Even my daughter’s response to seeing me for the first time post op was more positive than I had expected! By 10 pm I'm ready to call it ‘a much better than anticipated’ first post op day.

Mr Ross was the plastic surgeon involved in my incisional hernia repair performed by Mr Aali Sheen at The Alexandra BMI. After a laparotomy, that due to inflammations needed to be left open to heal, I had an extended scar spanning the whole width and height of my abdomen. I also had a horizontal scar following an ileostomy reversal and several smaller scars left by drips. My belly-button was somewhere on the right, hardly visible! I had a great deal of trouble finding any surgeon who could tackle such a complex operation. Mr Ross was very thorough in his explanations, emphasising risks and limitations. He was also very sympathetic and patient and I felt that I was in good hands. The operation went very well and the result is beyond my expectations. Staff at The Alexandra are skilled and diligent. This was a very worrying time in my life but the kindness and professionalism shown by Mr Ross were a great relief to me. He and his staff are not only excellent but are approachable and caring people. I would especially like to thank Kay, nurse and patient liaison. The work they have done has restored my self-image and confidence. I fully recommend them! FLT
